We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our growing preconstruction/estimating team. This role offers the opportunity to lead significant estimating efforts, mentor team members, and contribute to the success of projects across a wide range of markets.

Position Summary

The Senior Estimator plays a key leadership role within the preconstruction/estimating team. This individual is responsible for managing the full estimating process under the CM at Risk delivery method, as well as select hard-bid pursuits . The Senior Estimator partners closely with project management and trade estimators to develop schematic, design development, and construction document estimates, while also leading subcontractor engagement, quantity take-offs, and risk assessments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the estimating team in developing and executing complete estimates on time and with accuracy.
• Analyze drawings and specifications to determine scope, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare comprehensive cost estimates across all phases (schematic through GMP).
• Organize and direct bid teams, establishing strategy, schedule, and deliverables.
• Manage subcontractor solicitation, scope reviews, and pricing evaluations.
• Conduct detailed quantity take-offs and unit cost development when required.
• Support technical proposals and participate in RFP/interview presentations.
• Maintain cost histories, benchmarking data, and subcontractor prequalification records.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid interviews.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, design partners, subcontractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of estimating experience in commercial construction; public project experience strongly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of construction systems, including: civil/site, foundations, structural systems, metals, millwork, doors/hardware, finishes, envelope systems, and MEP trades.
• Proficiency in estimating and collaboration software, including: Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, OST/Togal, InSite, PreconSuite, and online plan rooms.
• Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills (both verbal and written).
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with resourcefulness and adaptability in dynamic project environments.
