Places, pours, and finishes concrete to specification

Duties

• Execute tasks and activities as directed, in accordance with plans and specifications provided by the Superintendent
• Spread concrete to specified depth and workable consistency
• Levels, smooths, and shapes surfaces of freshly poured concrete
• Removes rough or defective spots from concrete surfaces
• Provides on-the-job training for company apprentices and new employees.
• Typically performs concrete and limited carpenter duties.
• Ensures compliance with quality and production standards established by the superintendent’s task plans.
• Fosters a positive attitude within the crew.
• Watches for compliance with safety policies.
• Keeps jobsite clean and free of debris as needed for a safe environment.
• Inform superintendent of upcoming needs for materials.
• Performs other related duties and responsibilities as directed by superintendent.
