Job Description

New Life Dream Academy is looking for one assistant teacher to join our 7 person strong team. We are located on 360 Martin Luther King Dr. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Assist lead teacher in providing care and support to toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting.
• Implement curriculum and activities that promote the development of social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.
• Support children with special needs, including those with autism or other behavioral challenges.
• Assist with behavior management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to ensure effective communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with toddlers or in a childcare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of curriculum development and age-appropriate activities.
• Familiarity with autism and experience working with children with special needs is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patience, empathy, and the ability to work well with young children.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
